The Urgent Need for Organ Donors in India -Over two lakh (200,000) patients are on the waiting list for organ transplants in India.
-At least 20 persons die each day while waiting for an organ transplant in India.
-In 2014: 6,916 donors (including deceased).
-In 2022: Approximately 16,041 donors (including deceased).
